Infrared sauna temperatures are considerably lower than traditional saunas, as infrared saunas do not require heat to be effective. To experience the therapeutic benefits of infrared the ideal temperature range is between 38*C and 58*C. Sunlighten saunas are therapeutic because of infrared precision quality and quantity, not because off heat. Sunlighten saunas are 95-99% emissive to deliver the highest concentration of therapeutic benefits between 38*C and 58*C
As individual preferences are unique, the Sunlighten sauna can achieve temperatures of up to 65*C, however you will not receive infrared light therapeutic benefits with temperatures above 58*C , rather you will be sitting in a 'hot box' environment and sweat as you would on a hot day.

Infrared Sauna Benefits
Studies have shown regular use of a sauna creates a similar effect on the cardiovascular system as running. As you sit back and relax in the gentle infrared heat, your body is hard at work producing sweat, pumping blood, and burning up those calories. This boost in your metabolism can burn calories.
Muscle pain relief
Increase blood circulation can help to rid the body of metabolic waste products and delivers oxygen rich blood to oxygen depleted muscles, assisting in a quicker recovery, relaxation, increased flexibility, and relief of muscle tension.
Boost immune system
The heat from the IR Sauna raises your core body temperate, inducing an artificial fever. This benefits the body because the body’s natural response to a fever is to strengthen and accelerate the immune system response.
One of the biggest IR Sauna benefits is the ability to increase your blood circulation and stimulate the sweat glands, releasing built up toxins in the body. Sauna sweating helps to detoxify your body as it rids itself of accumulated toxic metals, alcohol, nicotine, and other organic and inorganic compounds.
Decrease joint pain and stiffness
IR sauna sessions may help clients suffering from forms of arthritis. Radiant heat may also be effective in the treatment of sprains, neuralgia, bursitis, muscle spasms, joint stiffness, and other musculoskeletal issues.
Reduction in stress and fatigue
IR saunas have been shown to affect the autonomic nervous system putting you into the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system allowing your body to rest and recover.
The profuse sweating that occurs in the IR sauna cleanses the skin by removing embedded impurities and dead skin cells, leaving the skin immaculately clean and glowing. Increased circulation brings your own skins natural nutrients to the surface.
