What are the Theraboy air recovery compression boots?

The Therabody Recovery Air compression boots are an easy-to-use pneumatic compression system, that is a clinically proven recovery technique.


A pair of boots are placed over legs and zipped up, each boot is then  attached to an air compressor, that fills the compartments of the boots with air to sequentially compresses the leg to increase circulation and reduce soreness and fatigue. So sit back, relax and recover faster as each boot does its thing.

Please note there are size restrictions for the use of the boots.

In order to use the boots the largest diameter of your thigh must be 75cm or less. 


Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing to your session.

We ask that you wear exercise clothing, leggings or trackpants are ideal, Shorts are ok, but full length pants are preferred. 

We also ask that socks are worn during the session to ensure maximum hygine.

Who shouldn't use the compression boots?

  • Do not use compression boots if:
  • You are pregnant (if you do not have a consent letter from your doctor)
  • You have deep vein thrombosis or any history of blood clots
  • You have any cardiovascular disease
  • You have an Arrhythmia
  • You have high blood pressure
  • You have Osteoporosis
  • You have acute pulmonary oedema
  • You have acute thrombophlebitis
  • You have serious inflammation
  • You are under the age of 16
  • You are on warfarin or other blood thinning medication
  • You have a fever
  • You are unwell or sick
  • You have had any contagious disease recently prior to your appointment -including Gastro and COVID-19 and haven't yet been cleared by a doctor to say you are no longer contagious
  • You have haemophilia or any other bleeding disorders
  • You are intoxicated or under the influence of any illegal substances
  • You are dehydrated

If you have any medical conditions, it is advised you seek consent from a medical professional before using the compression boots. If in doubt consult with your GP before using the boots. You may also want to consult with your GP regarding medications, if you are elderly, have cardiovascular or chronic conditions.
